Senior QA Architect - This position offers an opportunity to build a strong QA process and team for a development organization developing an exciting new enterprise business application. The person filling this role must have strong QA process development skills that allow them to put a solid QA process in place, the leadership skills to insure adoption of and adherence to the process, and the ability to contribute significantly to test cased development in a hands-on fashion. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Developing, promoting, and ensuring adherence to quality assurance processes such as test plan reviews, defect management, risk/complexity analysis, and regression test maintenance
- Tracking existing mestrics and establishing new ones to measure the quality of Lumigent's functional releases and the quality and efficiency of the QA team
- Manage QA testers locally
- Collaborating with and directing QA testers offshore
The product involved leverages exciting database and networking technologies to solve a critical business problem around application GRC. It offers many challenges, both technical and functional, to anyone developing a thorough test strategy to cover it.
Lumigent is about to transition from a waterfall to Agile software development methodology. We are looking for an individual who can transition our test philosophy, rocesses, and tools effectively to an Agile development model. This offers and exciting and career enhancing opportunity to any QA manager.
We are specifically seeking an individual who has been a strong technical individual contributor as a software development or QA engineer in the past, and has successfully transitioned to a management role.

Qualifications:
- Experience as a technical, hands-on software developer or QA engineer
- Experience using commercial automation testing tools
- Experience writing your own code to test software
- Experience testing software in heterogeneous environments involving multiple OS and DBMSs
- Experience architecting QA processes and test cases for testing enterprise software
- Experience architecting QA processes and test cases in a software development organization that uses an Agile development methodology
- Experience taking a QA organization that has done mostly manual testing to automated regression level testing
- Experience working with offshore testing teams
- Experience leading cross-functional efforts through communication and negotioation with multiple teams to accomplish goals
- Ability to perform most technical tasks independently with minimal supervision
- Efficient in problem troubleshooting and solution research
- Attention to details, organized, and responsive
